Louis Almerini has over 30 years of experience in senior finance roles in financial services. He has served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Controller, and FinOp in broker-dealers, investment advisers, and hedge funds.

Lou provides fractional CFO, FinOp, COO, CCO, and related consulting services to broker-dealers, investment advisers, and funds.

Since 2016, Lou has served as CFO or FinOp for several registered broker-dealers and other companies. For instance, a NASDAQ-listed public company, and as CFO, CCO, or COO for several investment advisers and hedge funds.

A World of Experience

From 2011 through 2016, Lou served as the Managing Director of Finance at PineBridge Investments, a registered investment adviser with over $80 billion AUM and offices in more than 20 countries. During that time, he guided the company’s financial compliance with new and complex accounting standards and new regulatory requirements it faced. Lou joined PineBridge shortly after its carve-out from AIG. He led the preparation of its first consolidated financial statements and first six annual audits as an independent asset manager.

Before that, Lou served in senior finance roles with Kellogg Capital Markets as Chief Financial Officer, Merrill Lynch as the First Vice President, and Morgan Stanley as a Principal, where he led the development of its corporate and SEC reporting during its first nine years as a public company. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) registered in the state of New York, a Financial and Operations Principal registered with FINRA, and a Registered Director with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority.
